On the whole they remain reliable but for a few niggles here and there. It is a large vehicle which makes the navigation down the Devon/Cornwall lanes tricky to the inexperienced, but given that the vehicle has remarkable handling for its size, this is soon overcome.
Porsche has created one of the great off-roaders. The Porsche Cayenne can operate at insane angles on impossibly steep and slippery slopes with its traction control systems finding grip where all logic tells one there should be none. Even ground to a halt halfway up a 35 degree slope and apparently stopped dead, within one second it can think about its predicament, and delicately feed appropriate amounts of power to each wheel and resume progress up the hill – amazing.
