The workshops at Braunton Engineering feature five car lifts suited to low sports cars, with one four post lift including in-built jacks, one scissor lift with in-built jack and three two post lifts. The workshops are divided into four, with a designated bodyshop preparation area, a MOT bay, the main Porsche workshop and a fourth workshop which is currently used for bead blasting & storage of sports cars awaiting restoration. The Garage features a yard to the rear which is currently home to a number of Porsche projects awaiting work and parking to the front and side. The Braunton Engineering team number seven in total.

With a labour rate of £45/hour (+vat) Braunton Engineering present transparency with each job from pricing through to access to the vehicle in the workshop for the owner to inspect first hand what is required and the work being undertaken (for those owners not local, the team can send images of the work in progress by email).

Braunton Engineering submit the costs to the owner before any work commences. The emphasis of safety and reliability is taken from the daily regime of MOT testing to the ministry’s standard; to maintain the vehicle to the highest safety level and to fit the customer’s budget. MOT tests are charged at £54.00 and are not subject to VAT. Retests are free - in the event of a MOT failure, customers are welcome to repair the car themselves or to find an alternative repairer - Braunton team can advise on the repairs and where to buy Porsche OE parts at good prices. 

The team’s realistic approach to ongoing maintenance shows an understanding that not every Porsche will be driven to the limit on each outing, and the communication with each owner will determine the cars envisaged usage and adjust the required maintenance to suit. Cars differ with their annual mileage -cars seeing 3000 miles per annum require a different maintenance schedule to cars seeing 15000 miles per annum.
